            Frequently Asked Questions

How many books can I check out? How many holds can I place?

Checkouts   You can borrow up to 10 titles at a time
Lending Periods    You can choose your default lending period of 7, 14, or 21 days
Holds You can have up to 15* holds at a time
Recommendations You can recommend 7 titles every 7 days
Wish List You can add 5,000 titles to your wish list

*Please note: On June 12 our OverDrive hold limit was updated to 15 holds. Current holds will not be affected by this change, however you will not be able to place any new holds until you are below the hold limit.

How do I renew an eBook?

Renewing digital titles works a little differently than renewing physical books from the library. When you renew a digital title, it doesn't extend your lending period. Instead, it lets you borrow the title again immediately after your current checkout expires (if there are no existing holds) or it places you on the wait list to borrow the title again as soon as possible (if there are existing holds).

You'll see the option to renew a title three days before it's set to expire. A Request again button will appear under the title on your Loans page. Learn more about renewing digital titles.
